Articles, Awards, News, & Testimonials Date: 08/2009 Cobb Hill Wins Contract for NH Weatherization TrainingCobb Hill Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce they have won a contract through the State of New Hampshire Office of Energy and Planning and the County Community Action (CAP) Programs to administer weatherization installation training. Training began in June and will be completed by the end of August. A portion of the federal stimulus package that was allotted to the State has been earmarked for this training. Cobb Hill has partnered with National Fiber Corporation to deliver 10 training sessions with up to 10 students each. This training will be delivered to the CAP crews and contractors participating in the weatherization program throughout the State. Participants will receive training in insulation and air sealing methods based on building science and best practices. They will also get hands-on experience with air sealing, dense pack cellulose insulation installation, and the operation of blower door test equipment.
"With the recent increase in heating costs, there have been many advances in building science and energy conservation measures," states Jerry Kingwill, Principal of Cobb Hill Construction. "The federal government's stimulus package has provided New Hampshire with valuable dollars to help train our construction professionals on the latest advances in this area and we are very pleased to be able to help in that effort to better service our citizens.”
