Articles, Awards, News, & Testimonials Date: 09/2009 Cobb Hill Announces Completion of Repairs to Historic First ChurchCobb Hill Construction, Inc. is pleased to announce that they have completed the second year of a multi-year project to repair and upgrade areas on the First Church of Christ, Scientist, located in Concord, New Hampshire.  Cobb Hill has entered into a multi-year agreement with the historic Church to repair years of wear and water damage from leaking roofs and flashing. Over the past two years, Cobb Hill has replaced the old asphalt roof over the Mary Baker Eddy Room with standing seam copper, repaired all the church’s slate roofs as well as replacing flashing on several of the roofs.Cobb Hill also replaced the Church’s snow fences with snow guards for better safety to Church visitors. Several areas on the towers had masonry joints between the granite that required repointing. This most recent repair included roofing and aged masonry.
"This project has developed into a long-term team effort among the church’s board, their historical experts, and Cobb Hill Construction. We are satisfied with how the work has progressed and we are pleased to have ensured that the building is now water tight and will provide comfort for its visitors,” states Jerry Kingwill, Principal of Cobb Hill Construction.
