Oceanside Dental- 2nd Floor Framing

Following the previous news article, we are excited to share our update regarding the 2nd floor wall framing and rafter templates. We are finishing up hip roof frame as well as sheathing on the first floor. Next, we will prep for siding, install windows and get to work on the roofing. The building is coming along great, we can't wait to see the final product!

Oceanside Dental- Prefabricated Walls

Oceanside Dental- Prefabricated Walls

Prefabricated exterior wall panels offer several advantages over traditional "stick-built" framing.  These panels are built in a controlled manufacturing environment versus unpredictable field conditions.  This  not only guarantees a higher degree of quality, but also prevents unexpected schedule delays due to weather considerations and other factors.

Concord's Bell Tower Lights up the Skies Once Again

It has been about thirty-five years since First Church of Christ, Scientist's bell tower had functioning lights. Now, locals can enjoy its reclaimed glow each night. This electrical fit up came as a part of Cobb Hill's more extensive restorative construction of the building that included reversing water damage and wear and tear to some of the old cypress structures, refinishing the original light fixtures and refitting them with new electrical components to increase efficiency. Along with this, the plaster ceilings are being repaired and brought up to fully functioning standards. Cobb Hill is proud to have been part of such an important historical restoration in our city.

CFD Training on Demo Building

The Concord Fire Department recently completed training on a building we will be removing and reconstructing. The 239 Loudon Road location provided a great space for the Fire Fighters to simulate a fire rescue before our team goes in to demo the building. Not only did this demo provide a great opportunity for the CFD to complete some hands on training, but it allowed us to get out into the community, which is something we take pride in here at Cobb Hill Construction.
