Specifications
32 Room Luxury Hotel
57 Seat Restaurant
This project was the adaptive reuse and historic restoration of a long term care facility into a 32 room luxury hotel and conference center, including a 57 seat restaurant in Concord, New Hampshire.
For Cobb Hill's work on this building, we were honored to receive an "Inherit New Hampshire" award for Historic Preservation, and an Award of Excellence for Historic Preservation from the Associated Builders & Contractors of NH/VT, as well as the Gold Award for Commercial Construction from the HBRA of NH.
All the 'modern amenities' had to be designed into the 'new' structure in order to create a first-class hotel and restaurant facility. The registration desk at the Inn is a fully functional, electronically networked facility that blends seamlessly with its traditional 19th century surroundings. Each guest room at the Centennial Inn is different, and all doors, door moldings, and woodwork have been saved and restored (and when necessary recreated) to preserve the ambiance of this historic Victorian structure.
Even with all the variables involved, the Centennial Inn opened three weeks ahead of schedule, and budget goals were met.
