During their open house on June 1st, the Homeless Resource Center Director Marcia Sprague and Mayor Jim Bouley presented Cobb Hill with an appreciation award for our work to renovate their new space.
The center was formally housed in the basement of the South Church and since the church had this space available in their community center building, and the program was growing, they decided to make this new space available for the center to move into.
However, renovations were needed and that's where Cobb Hill stepped in. Cobb Hill completed the work pro bono with the help of other businesses and subcontractors, who also donated their work and materials. See previous news here.
The project included removing a wall to turn two smaller rooms into one larger one, a handicapped bathroom was added along with other construction, flooring, electrical work and painting.
Receiving the award for Cobb Hill was Project Manager Claude Dupuis.
