Cobb Hill Earns Construction Safety Awards

Cobb Hill Construction is pleased to announce that they received several construction safety awards, including a national Platinum Safety Excellence Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors of New Hampshire and Vermont (ABC NH/VT) on June 21, 2012. Cobb Hill President Jerry Kingwill accepted the Platinum Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) award, which recognized Cobb Hill’s ongoing commitment to jobsite safety and exemplary safety performance.

Cobb Hill’s Safety Officer, Geoff Magoon, accepted two additional safety awards from the ABC NH/VT, one for Zero Cases Resulting in Lost Workdays and a second place Construction Safety Award in their SEC code in the Under 50,000 Man-Hours category. The ABC National Safety Excellence Awards recognize companies who exhibit a continued commitment to jobsite safety and whose safety performance and programs are judged to be exemplary by the ABC National Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Committee. Awards are based on data submitted via STEP Diamond and Platinum applications and company interviews/site visits. Award categories are based on a company's total work-hours per calendar year and placement within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS).

“Job safety is of utmost importance at Cobb Hill,” said Kingwill. “Under the leadership of Geoff Magoon, I couldn’t be more pleased that the safety programs and initiatives we have in place to ensure the well-being of all of our employees have been recognized so positively by one of our industry’s premiere organizations.”
