The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) awardedCobb Hill with the 2014 Single Family Builder Safety Program of the Year in the 11 to 100 home starts category during the annual SAFE awards dinner. The event took place during the 2015 International Builders Show in Las Vegas on January 22, 2015.

The NAHB/Builders Mutual Insurance Company Safety Award for Excellence (SAFE) recognizes member companies, workers and other individuals for the excellent safety programs that make them leaders in the residential construction industry.

“We are proud to recognize the winners of this year’s SAFE awards for being leaders in the industry and demonstrating a superior commitment to safe work practices,” said NAHB Construction, Safety and Health Committee Chairman, Carl Harris, a residential and light-commercial contractor from Wichita, Kan. “Safety on the jobsite is a top priority, and it is great to see not only building industry professionals, but also government officials as well as high school and college students making a difference in advancing safe work practices and creating strong safety programs.”

“We are honored to be recognized with such a prestigious award,” said Jerry Kingwill, president of Cobb Hill Construction. “Cobb Hill Construction takes safety very seriously, requiring that all trade subcontractors and all members of the Cobb Hill staff implement a ‘zero tolerance’ safety policy to reduce worksite incidents.”
